Surprisingly, Cory got off several days around Christmas this year! We started his 'vacation' by spending a couple days in Goshen with his family. It was a busy couple of days, but it was great. The kids had a blast playing in Grandma and Grandpa's basement, which is filled with old toys (some 30 years old). We went to a restaurant for lunch that we all love, the Essenhaus. We went to see Granny's beautifully decorated house, we ate great food Paula and Jeff made, we enjoyed church service together and got to hear Paula sing in the choir. We will never forget after a prayer when the congregation said, "Amen!" Eli said, "What's Ah-men?" sooo loud that everyone heard and giggled. I had to remind myself that 1. Eli doesn't know how to control his volume and 2. He has never really sat through a church service really...kids go to their own rooms at our current and past church. He is used to saying Amen (long A sound). It was too funny. We all had fun opening gifts and Cory was especially excited about his basketball signed by the legendary Bobby Knight. Thank you for your hospitality and wonderful gifts!
