Goshen Trip

Grandma enjoying a snack with her grand babies.

When you visit the Showalter's you better plan on games being on the agenda, especially when Granny is around! Always a fun time! We are teaching Eli the Showalter ways and were playing "Memory" with him.

We went to the Nappannee Apple Festival and here we were watching the parade. It was great..there was even an elephant! That shocked us all considering if you looked left and right of us we were surrounded by Amish people. Who would have thought that a small, Amish inspired festival would produce an African elephant! Because of the Amish culture, we saw some really neat OLD farming equipment and ate some great food.

Well, we tried. This is a great picture despite missing Eli. It can be very difficult to get cooperation from a 2 yr old for photos. We still love this picture and figured it's not a bad thing that Ev is getting some face time with Grandma and Grandpa without his big brother taking over!

Aww...Grandpa and Ev dressed alike. :)

We went to Goshen last weekend for a 3-day visit. We had a great time! We visited Paula at her school that Friday (Eli loved seeing kids in school and seeing where Grandma teaches), we went to the very famous Essenhaus for dinner (YUM), we went to a festival, and just hung out at home. Cory and I even went on a date one evening and visited Notre Dame University- walked the campus and went for a drink at a college bar. I have never been there before, so it was really neat to finally see it.
