Evan was so very excited to start preschool this year! If you know Ev's personality, you know that he is all or none. We always thought that this could go amazingly well or very bad. He will be either a teacher favorite or a stinker. At the Open House Evan was very "awkward" and wouldn't talk to anyone or even look at them when spoken to. That made me nervous. However, two days later on his first day he was a champ and approached it very differently!! When we picked him up, he was all smiles and the teachers said that he did amazingly well, was super sweet and talkative. And what made me most proud is that she said she can't get over his wonderful manners! She said Evan said, "No thank you," "Yes please," "Excuse me," etc. She said it is rare for kids to behave that well and she gave him (informally) "well manner award" by a long shot. I was all smiles! What a sweet boy.
A funny side note, on the drive home Evan told Cory and I about his day and said many times that he was pretty tired. It was hilarious! Being that good wore our little guy out. He came home and took a 3 hour nap..and I even had to wake him up.
