The Greatest Neighbors

Cory and I are convinced that we have the best, most unique neighbors ever.  They are the type that look out for us and do nice things just because!  Since we live on a private lane and everyone on it is family except us, any unfamiliar vehicle provokes suspicion.  I have seen Mike, our neighbor, hop on his gator and come down to make sure the person that drove back to our house is someone we know.  When we had Bryn, they brought a home cooked meal.  At Thanksgiving they brought deep fried turkey (fabulous)...they felt sad for us spending the holiday without family. They have put salt on our driveway when snow was scheduled to fall.  To top all of that, they have a pretty open BARN policy!  :)   We go on walks all the time down our lane to see the horses and that is something we will miss so much and never forget.  When we first moved here last May Eli cried his eyes out the first time we entered the barn.  Now he begs to go. Evan has loved it from day 1.   Just this week they had FOUR babies born, so we went on a walk to go see them.

Funny story to this pic.  Eli is crazy about Bryn and loves to help with her when he can.  He wanted to push her in the stroller, so we take off down the lane like this.  One of our neighbors was driving down towards the barn and Eli squeals, "truck" and runs out of the way, yet leaves Bryn in the stroller in the middle of the lane.  Of course, the guy saw us and wasn't going fast down the lane, but Cory and I were left with our jaws dropped.  It might be a few years before he's allowed to babysit.
