So far Evan is such an easy, laid-back baby! Are we going to luck out two times in a row?
Curious big brother! Eli just loves baby Evan. He says all the time, "I love you baby!" and he always is asking if Evan is okay when he cries. Eli is constantly wanting to help when we change his diaper, dress him, etc. He is so sweet and we couldn't have asked anything more.

Visiting Evan in the NICU. I forgot how wonderful it is to have a newborn! He melted my heart the second I met him. I didn't get to hold my baby until the day after he was born! That was rough on me. sniff, sniff..
Evan James was born on Feb 26 at 9:16 pm. To our surprise, my water broke that evening while making dinner! Evan was ready to meet us a month early (due date March 21!) and although technically a premie, he weighed in at 7 lb 3 oz and was 19 in. We were scrambling to get ourselves together and get to the hospital. My doctor was on vacation (go figure!), so another doc in the practice performed the c-section. Although not as planned, everything worked out fine. Poor Evan spent some time in the NICU but we were able to bring him back to our room eventually. That was the best sleepless night we had in a long time! :)
